Who Makes the Soy Protein Cereal, GoLean Crunch?
Kashi is a company committed to using natural ingredients that are good for you and taste good, too. They're motto is "Seven Whole Grains on a Mission". You may have seen their commercials on T.V. that are built around the same general theme: someone searching the globe for the most perfect and healthy ingredients.
What Does GoLean Crunch Taste Like?
Kashi makes several types of products that include hot and cold cereals, crackers, frozen pizzas, snack bars, entrees, side dishes, cookies and waffles. I have tried two of their breakfast cereals, and I liked them both. However, one of them had the best taste and is rich in the very heart-healthy ingredient, soy protein. Soy protein lowers good cholesterol, raises bad cholesterol and helps keep you full.
What I like about the taste of GoLean Crunch is that it's slightly sweet, but not very sugary like a kid's cereal. It allows me to get that sweet fix in the morning without eating something less healthy like a donut. It has crunchy clusters that pretty much never get soggy. I've had to set the bowl down before and it's still crunch after a while. The taste is somewhat like a rich granola which makes it a great stand-alone snack or topping for a yogurt parfait.
Soy Protein Cereals for Weight Loss
Staying fuller longer and maintaining steady blood sugar levels help prevent overeating and help you manage your weight. I usually eat Kashi GoLean Crunch with 1% milk and the meal helps me feel full and satisfied for about three hours. Contrast that with Cheerios, which taste great and have whole grains, but they lack the protein to stave off hunger. Another good thing about soy protein cereals for heart patients is that they are a good substitute for eggs that are high in cholesterol. However, heart patients don't necessarily need to exclude eggs from their diet.
